Friends of new information on science, technology and art had traditionally had met in CZECH REPUBLIC.  Films on Science and Presentations  by top Czech and foreign experts.

> Monday 5th March – History of Technology
Prague Industrial, From TV to Multimedia, Czech Traces, Chernobyl - The Invisible Thief,
Dalí´s Dimension
TECHFILM is the oldest festival of films on science, technology and art in Europe. After more than 40 years this prestigious cultural and educational event comes from the East Bohemia region to Prague. TECHFILM festival together with the EMTECH conference was filling in the program of 300th anniversary of Czech Technical University in Prague and establishing a new tradition of its venue.

> Tuesday 6th March – Technology in Support of Education
Hight Definition Video Streaming, Students Web, Elementary, Dear Albert, World According to Google, CTU in Prague – a Modern University
International festival TECHFILM is a competitive presentation of latest films and educational products suitable to support the education. The EMTECH conference is a display of current state of education at the CTU and associate schools and institutions. On the program there were not only European films, but also productions from Brazil, Cuba, Japan, Argentina, India, Singapore and other distant countries.

> Wednesday 7th March – Technology helps cross barriers

Tereza Centre, Speech Recognition, Systems of Navigation, When Things Get Small, In the Light of Humanity
CTU in Prague is contributing to the development of university teaching, education for handicapped people and life-long education and therefore it also supports projects aiming to open up science, technology and arts to the general public.

> Thursday 8th March – Technology and Medicine
Micro Wave Treatment, Biomechanics, Controlling PC by Voice and Robots by Eye Movement, A Smoking Epidemic, Avian Influenza, The Age of Viruses.
Within the framework of the EMTECH conference every forenoon top Czech and foreign experts were reporting interesting information on given topic.
Festive evening had included a concert of CTU Chamber Orchestra.

> Friday 9th March – Technology to Man, Man to Technology
Czech Brains, Nuclear Energy, Nanotechnology
In sum: 87 films from 18 foreign countries plus 24 films from Czech Republic. The films selected into the competition have been presented in the Congress Hall of Masaryk College. Other films from the Panorama section and competitive display of educational programs were presenting in other rooms. You could also order a projection at your own request.

Simultaneous interpreting was provided.  Entry was free of charge.
